The Frederick Pony Club (FPC) is very fortunate to have its own grounds, Moxley Field, located in Ijamsville, MD. This land was deeded to the FPC by Dr. and Mrs. Reuben Moxley of Baltimore, Maryland. The land is used for camp, hosting local and regional activities, and conducting fund raising horse shows. Certain rules and regulations must be complied with to ensure rider safety, protection of field and equipment, and for insurance reasons. Field Availability: Use of the field is limited to FPC sponsored events and schooling days. Open Schooling Days are Saturdays unless otherwise listed in the newsletter. Club Schooling Days are Saturdays, Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and school holidays (during the school year only), again unless otherwise listed in the newsletter or calendar of events. Use of the field for shows, rallies, ratings, etc. will of course take precedence. Restrictions on use of the field apply depending on classification of membership and affiliation with FPC. Insurance: United States Pony Club (USPC) medical insurance only applies when a member is participating in a FPC sponsored event (e.g. Open or Club Schooling Days, clinics, rallies, camp, etc.). FPC liability insurance likewise only applies to FPC sponsored events. Hold Harmless: A Hold Harmless Agreement is required of all riders using Moxley Field or at a sanctioned FPC or USPC event. Guests must sign a Hold Harmless Agreement each time they ride. An annual Hold harmless Agreement for a guest is not authorized. All Riders Must Wear Pinneys: Pinneys can be obtained through the FPC District Commissioner (DC) or his/her designee. There is a $10 deposit for each member, sponsor, or guest. Pinneys are limited to one per sponsor and one per member. Guests are issued pinneys only on a daily basis and are available through the FPC monitor designated for that Open Schooling Day. Authorized Riders: FPC members who have ratings and their sponsors are authorized to use Moxley Field under the terms and conditions set forth in this document. During Open and Club Schooling days there must be an FPC Open and Schooling Day Monitor or FPC Official (officer, board member, activity coordinator) present at all times. No one is authorized to use Moxley Field unless the schooling day is sanctioned by the presence of a Monitor or FPC Official. The names of monitors will be distributed to all members and updated as changes occur. It is the responsibility of each member and/or sponsor to contact a designated Monitor or Official prior to using Moxley Field on either an Open or Club Schooling Day to be certain a Monitor or Official will be present. Guests may use the field on Open Schooling Days only if invited by and accompanied by a FPC member or sponsor. Guests must comply with all other terms and conditions set forth in this document. Jump Relocation: If jumps are relocated, they must be returned to their original location prior to leaving the field.
